Low Strain Impact Integrity Testing of Deep Foundations
FPrimeC Solutions offer advanced non-destructive testing methods for the assessment of pile integrity. The test methods can be either applied to existing concrete piles (where no structural documentation is available), or as a means of quality control for newly constructed piles.
FPrimeC Solutions uses an advanced wireless portable system for evaluating the integrity of vertical or inclined piles, by measuring and analyzing the velocity response of the pile induced by an impact device. The impact is usually applied axially, and perpendicular to the pile head surface.
Pile Integrity Testing (PIT) is conducted in accordance with the ASTM D 5882-16 "Standard Test Method for Low Strain Impact Integrity of Deep Foundations". The method is applicable to long structural elements that function in a manner similar to any deep foundation units, such as driven piles, or drilled shafts, regardless of their method of installation. Acoustic Methods are used for surface and sub-surface detection of pile dimension as well as cracks and defects.
