Scope
FPrimeC was hired by Vexos to perform concrete scanning in Industrial Warehouse in GTA. The main objective of the concrete scan was to locate existing rebar and conduits in the slab on the grade, determine approximate thickness of the slab, and identify the best location to install the grounding rods.
Solutions
Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) was used to assess the location, spacing and pattern of steel bars in the slab. The rebar location was identified and marked on the slab.
Core Drilling was performed at the designated locations to install the grounding anchor rods.
The grounding rods were then placed into good contact with soil (6 ft = 1.8 m) to provide proper grounding.
